With micro-breweries growing in population in recent years, there are more and more popping up all over the country.

Now it is Arlington's turn to receive its very own, and very first locally owned and operated brewery.

Division Brewing plans to provide numerous beers to the residents and visitors of Arlington to try at their location on 506 E. Main Street, set to open in the fall of 2015. Beer enthusiasts can also purchase their favorite brews to take home and enjoy.

"The people have spoken and they love craft beer," said Division Brewing owner and brewer Wade Wadlington. "We will provide a local alternative instead of driving to Ft. Worth or Dallas."

Wadlington, who lived in Arlington most of his life, feels that it is the perfect place to set up Division Brewing. "It's a great city to raise a family," he adds.

Wadlington is a big fan of India Pale Ales, or IPAs, so he will focus a lot on that style but will also brew stouts, porters, and many other styles. "We have and will brew any and everything," explains Wadlington. "We will start with small batches and hopefully grow from there."

Division has one other brewer, Sean Cooley, who brings even more variety to the selection of beer. Cooley has a passion for producing wild and sour beers and can brew many other styles of beer as well.
