Whether you're looking to take a fitness class, host a pool party, browse the bookshelves or borrow a laptop to do some work online, the East Library and Recreation Center offers a variety of programs, amenities and resources for residents of all ages. The combined recreation center and library is the first of its kind in The American Dream City.

The recreation side of the facility features a gymnasium with full-size basketball court, multiple workout locations, locker rooms, group exercise room, community rooms, childcare center, and outdoor recreational amenities.

The center’s 113,000-gallon indoor pool, which has a party room available for rent, operates year-round and provides a perfect spot for lap swim, aqua-fitness classes, swim lessons and leisure play.

General Rules

  • In order to participate in programs, open gym or weight room, all participants must have and present a current Annual Membership Card.
  • A valid photo ID and proof of address must be presented at the time any membership or pass is purchased.
  • Children under the age of 10 must be supervised by a guardian 15 or older. This guardian must have a valid membership.

Conduct

  • Disruptive behavior is not tolerated at any time. Proper language etiquette and respect are expected at all times.

Attire

  • Appropriate attire must be worn at all times. Shirts and shoes must be worn while in the facility.
  • Closed toe shoes are required in the weight room and gymnasium.

Food & Drink

  • Open containers are welcome in the lobby of our facility. Only water and sports drinks may be taken into the fitness room, and gym.

Rentals

EAST is available for rentals seven days a week during and after business hours. Rentals require a seven day advance notice. The pool is only available for rent Friday - Sunday.
