ACTIV Center Now "Powered by Texas Health" in 10-Year Sponsorship Deal

The City of Arlington’s Parks, Recreation & Culture Department announced today a 10-year sponsorship agreement with Texas Health Resources, a faith-based nonprofit health system that cares for more patients in North Texas than any other provider, and a long-standing community supporter. The agreement will rebrand the facility as “ACTIV Powered by Texas Health,” reflecting a continued and deepened commitment to the health and well-being of Arlington residents. 

Opened in March 2025, ACTIV is Arlington’s 73,000-square-foot recreation center designed for adults ages 50 and older, located at 2061 W. Green Oaks Blvd. The state-of-the-art facility, approved by Arlington voters in a special bond election in May 2017, features a full-court gymnasium with multi-sport markings, indoor lap and hydrotherapy pools, fitness area, walking track, multi-purpose rooms, special events space and billiards lounge. Outdoor amenities include a patio, walking trails, six lighted pickleball courts and a community garden.

Texas Health has served as a major sponsor of Arlington Parks, demonstrating an enduring commitment to community health and wellness. This next phase of collaboration builds on that foundation by further investing in preventative health screenings and greater access to wellness opportunities.

Facilitating the agreement was High Level Promotions (HLP), a Texas-based community sponsorship and naming rights firm that represented the City of Arlington throughout the process. HLP managed valuation, partner identification, and deal structuring, helping the City attract a partner whose mission matched the facility's purpose from the start.

The agreement reflects the city’s proactive approach to non-traditional municipal revenue generation. By leveraging private-sector partnerships, the Parks, Recreation & Culture Department can enhance services and maintain high-quality facilities, without placing additional burden on Arlington taxpayers. 

The agreement was reviewed and supported unanimously by the Arlington Parks and Recreation Board on February 12, 2026, before receiving City Council approval on March 10, 2026.
