Get out of the chilly temps this week with these free and fun events scheduled across The American Dream City from Jan. 28 through Feb. 2, 2026. Check back each week for a new list of family-friendly activities.

Tea Time – Earl Grey

Enjoy a cozy evening at Tea Time! Earl Grey on Wednesday, Jan. 28 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the East Library & Recreation Center Community Room. This free program explores the history and cultural connections of tea while guests enjoy a complimentary cup of Earl Grey—supplies are limited.

Rides & Coffee

Kick off the year at Rides & Coffee on Friday, Jan. 31 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 4520 Matlock Rd. Enjoy clean cars, free coffee and donuts, product demos, raffles, giveaways, and special New Year deals—all while connecting with fellow car enthusiasts of every style and build.

Arlington Card Show – Meadowbrook Recreation Center

The 2nd Arlington Card Show takes place Saturday, Jan. 31 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Meadowbrook Recreation Center. This free, family-friendly event features 70+ TCG vendors offering Pokémon cards and collectibles to buy, sell, and trade, plus cosplay, food vendors, and fan-favorite tamales from Mima & Lolis Catering.

Family Craft Night – Black History Month

Celebrate Black History Month at Family Craft Night on Monday, Feb. 2 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at the Southeast Branch Library. Families can enjoy free, hands-on crafts inspired by abstract artist Reggie Laurent, highlighting creativity, collaboration, and artistic expression.
