Looking for something to do? A variety of fun events, indoors and out, are on the calendar across The American Dream City from Feb. 4 through Feb. 7, 2026. Check back each week for a new list of family-friendly activities!
First Thursday Downtown Arlington
First Thursdays Downtown Arlington is a monthly community event featuring live music, local vendors, art, food trucks, and extended hours at downtown shops and restaurants. Held in the heart of Downtown Arlington from 5 p.m. To 8 p.m., the event brings residents and visitors together to explore local businesses, enjoy entertainment, and experience the district’s vibrant atmosphere. This month's featured experiences include Street Sounds live music, a fire performance at Rotary DREAM Park by Radiant Solz, and special events such as The Dinosaur Exhibit Opening Reception
Storytime: Birds
Families are invited to explore local wildlife during this interactive bird program, Storytime: Birds, on Friday, Feb. 6 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at River Legacy Nature Center. Participants will enjoy bird-themed stories and, weather permitting, take a short, family-friendly hike to the Bird Blind with Dr. Ellen Ravkind to observe birds in their natural habitat. This relaxed program encourages curiosity, movement, and connection with nature for all ages.
Arabic Book Club & Calligraphy
The Arabic Book Club "Kutub" meets Saturday, Feb. 7 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library. Open to adults and seniors, the club explores Arabic culture through literature, film, music, and discussion, followed by a hands-on Arabic calligraphy session led by master calligrapher Hayder Mohsin.
Star Party at O.S. Gray
Look up and join the fun at the Star Party at O.S. Gray on Saturday, Feb. 7 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at O.S. Gray Natural Area hosted by the Friends of O.S. Gray Natural Area. This free, family-friendly event features telescope viewing with astronomers from the Fort Worth Astronomical Society, along with a classic wiener roast and hot chocolate. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs, and should plan to use nearby or street parking.
