North Texas Film Friendly Mixer Draws Hundreds to Arlington

More than 600 filmmakers, industry professionals and municipal film liaisons gathered at Texas Live! on Aug. 12 for the North Texas Film Friendly Mixer, a regional networking event co‑hosted by the Arlington, TX Film Commission, Dallas Film Commission and Fort Worth Film Commission.

Representatives from over 15 North Texas municipalities attended the mixer, which aimed to strengthen collaboration across the region and support the growing demand for film production. A representative from the Texas Film Commission also spoke during the event.

Organizers said the mixer created meaningful connections between filmmakers and local governments and highlighted the role of the North Texas region as a leading hub for film activity in Texas.

The event featured networking opportunities and conversations about permitting, location access and the growing creative workforce in North Texas. Attendees noted the strong turnout as a sign of continued industry momentum across the area.
