Arlington Veterans Park Memorial Foundation to Host 9/11 Tribute

The Arlington Veterans Memorial Foundation will host a special event, "American Soldier 9/11, a Tribute to Toby Keith," at 7 p.m. Thursday, September 11, 2025, at the Levitt Pavilion Arlington, 100 W. Abram St. 100% of the proceeds go towards the Arlington Veterans Memorial Foundation.

Shows at Arlington Music Hall

The Arlington Music Hall has a show you can enjoy starting 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, it’s The Malpass Brothers and then 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, it’s Michael Hix Live in Concert.

The Smurf Experience

This 13,000-square-foot, fully immersive attraction will transport families into the heart of Smurf Village. The experience will be held at the Arlington Museum of Art. The 75-minute experience will feature nine mission-based zones filled with interactive scavenger hunts, obstacle courses, virtual reality adventures, meet-and-greets with beloved Smurf characters and more. It's hands-on, high-energy and full of Smurftastic fun for kids and parents alike. The Smurf Experience is not to be missed and is only in Texas until the end of the Summer. Little Explorers – Downtown Library

Stop by The Children’s Play Room at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library on 10 a.m. Fridays for a morning of play-based learning.  This come-and-go program will vary week-to-week as librarians explore art, math, science, engineering, and fine motor skills. Join the Arlington Public Library for a playfully discover the world around us! Designed for ages 1-4. Family Storytime – Southeast Branch Library

Join the Arlington Public Library’s fabulous library staff to sing, read and wiggle during storytime at the Southeast Branch Library 10:30 a.m. Fridays. This storytime is geared for ages 2-5. They will read books, sing songs, and have an activity after the program each week. CS4Kids

CS stands for Computer Science!  This is hands- introduction to computer science is for kids ages 9-12. Come join friends from Frontier STEM Academy as they teach an eight-week course with hands-on sessions where students are able to get inside the desktop and learn components like CPU, GPU, and RAM.  Work with your classmates to build a computer at the end of the course. It takes place 4:30-5:30 p.m. every Friday through Friday, Oct. 24, 2025. This eight-week course is cumulative so please try to attend each class. Summer Music Series

Join Arlington Parks & Recreation for acoustic music and wine, whiskey and food specials 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 12, 2025. Home Plate Restaurant is located inside the Texas Rangers Golf Club. While entry is free, guests are encouraged to RSVP.

Levitt Pavilion Arlington’s Summer Concert Series continues 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 12, 2025 as Kat Hasty feat. Cash Byers & Big Valley takes the stage, and then 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, it’s Infinite Journey feat. Court Hoang & The Love Children. These concerts are free. Open seating is available on the lawn. Please bring blankets and lawn chairs. You also can bring your own food and coolers with beverages, including alcohol, but no glass containers, please. I’m Proud of You

Friday, Sept. 12, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. marks the premiere of You Can’t Take It With You at Theatre Arlington. This Pulitzer Prize winning comedy is one of the most popular and successful plays of all time. The beloved story of the wacky Sycamores and the straightlaced Kirbys, two families – so unlike in manner, politics and finances trying to set aside their differences and find unity. Yoga at the Lake Arlington Garden

Join for a free outdoor yoga class at the Lake Arlington Native Plant and Pollinator Garden 8:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025. Space is limited. Arlington Water Utilities and Tarrant Regional Water District are working with local conservation stakeholders and community groups to restore native prairie and wildflowers to 2.75 acres of land adjacent to the Lake Arlington Dam. This gated area at 5500 Lake Arlington Drive also features demonstration garden beds with native plants.

Downtown Arlington Farmers Market

The Downtown Arlington Farmers Market runs every Saturday through November from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot at the corner of Front and Center Streets. The market will feature fresh, locally-source produce, unique artisan goods and community connection.

Rally Days

W.A.T.E.R. Festival

Head over to River Legacy Nature Center for the W.A.T.E.R. Festival 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025. It is a celebration of one of our most vital resources: water. This family-friendly event is packed with educational activities, crafts, and demonstrations, all highlighting the importance of water conservation. Explore interactive enviroscape demonstrations to see how water flows through our environment and impacts our ecosystems. Embark on guided creek hikes with our naturalists to discover the plants and animals that thrive in local water habitats. Children and adults will enjoy animal explorations, where they can learn about species that depend on healthy water systems. East Open House

You're invited to the East Open House from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025, come explore all the East Library and Recreation Center has to offer. Residents can enjoy free access to the basketball court, a pop-up fitness class, and the fully equipped weight room. Learn about membership options, meet the team, and take home some fun giveaways. FAFSA Prep

The focus of this presentation is to demonstrate how the financial aid process works and to explain detailed information about the application in an easy-to-understand, step-by-step manner. While the FAFSA presentation is ideally for high school seniors and their parents, the presentation is open to all who wish to get a better understanding of the financial aid process. It takes place 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025, and is resented by inspirED. This program is free and open to the public, no registration required. DIY Build Your Own Rain Barrel

Capture water while it is raining to use on your landscape later when it is not! Join River Legacy Nature Center’s in-person workshop to learn more and build your own barrel to take home 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025. Space is limited so register early.

Knitting Basics

Discover the joy of knitting in this beginner-friendly workshop designed to teach you the essentials 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025, at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library’s Tinker Room. Learn how to cast on, knit, purl, and bind off while creating your very first project.
