The City of Arlington has issued more than 1,400 permits for residential housing, including single-family, multi-family, remodels, additions and other property improvements in the second quarter of 2025, according to the latest Quarterly Development Profile. This is a 36% increase from Q1.

The Quarterly Development Profile provides basic growth statistics and is produced by the City of Arlington’s Department of Planning & Development Services. The publication includes permitting activity and the locations of new single-family and multifamily construction projects occurring within The American Dream City.

The City ended the 2024 calendar year with 160, 078 housing units, a 2.6% increase from 2023, according to the 2024 Annual Development Profile

The Annual Development Profile has been produced since 2003 with the goal of providing a summary of development changes in Arlington over the previous year. The report measures development through statistics related to Housing, Construction, Zoning, Platting and Land Use.

The City’s Long Range Planning page includes previous quarterly and annual Development Profiles.
