Friends and Foundation of the Arlington Public Library Book Sale

Massive Fall Book Sale to support the Arlington Public Library runs 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Friday, Oct. 10, 2025, at First Methodist Church of Arlington. There are 36 categories of books plus CDs, DVDs, art, puzzles, games and more. MOST ITEMS ARE $1.00! Friday, Oct. 10 is half-price day and open to teacher and nonprofits at 4:15 to take all they can carry for a $5.00 donation.

Game of Thrones: The Exhibition

Fans of HBO’s epic fantasy series Game of Thrones are invited to journey into the world of Westeros like never before. Game of Thrones™: The Exhibition, runs until Sunday, April 5, 2026, showcasing an immersive collection of original costumes worn by the iconic characters, props from the show, and a behind-the-scenes look at the development of the groundbreaking series. Tricks and Treats

Experience thrills for the whole family during our daytime, family-friendly event with activities and shows that will have you laughing, cheering, and creating unforgettable memories together at Six Flags Over Texas for Tricks and Treats select days until Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025. The World of Pumpkin Nights

Started in the patch, and now we're here. Born from a passion for local artistry and the ethereal magic of the season, Howell Family Farms mission sidestepped the usual gore and scares of Halloween, choosing instead to embrace the warmth and wonder of fall. At Pumpkin Nights, you'll journey through a half-mile trail dotted with the Forbidden City, a Pirate’s Cove, and other lands, all illuminated by over 7,500 meticulously hand-carved real and artificial pumpkins. But the magic doesn't end there; at The Village, where fall food, fire dancing, and games set the mood for an unforgettable night. Prices vary depending on if it's a weeknight or a weekend. Tickets must be purchased online. You can also choose your time. Pumpkin Nights run from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. through Friday, Oct. 31, 2025. Parking is $10.00. Cash or card is accepted. For their team to safely park all guests on busy evenings, parking lines may last up to 30 minutes. Please plan accordingly.

Little Explorers – Downtown Library

Stop by The Children’s Play Room at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library on 10 a.m. Fridays for a morning of play-based learning.  This come-and-go program will vary week-to-week as librarians explore art, math, science, engineering, and fine motor skills. Join the Arlington Public Library for a playfully discover the world around us! Designed for ages 1-4. Family Storytime – Southeast Branch Library

Red River Reunion, presented by the Bear Bryant Awards

Kickoff your Rivalry Weekend with at Texas Live! 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, 2025. This FREE event will feature legends Barry Switzer and Mack Brown, plus the Oklahoma Breakdown and Inside Texas live podcasts.

CS4Kids

CS stands for Computer Science!  This is hands- introduction to computer science is for kids ages 9-12. Come join friends from Frontier STEM Academy as they teach an eight-week course with hands-on sessions where students are able to get inside the desktop and learn components like CPU, GPU, and RAM.  Work with your classmates to build a computer at the end of the course. It takes place 4:30-5:30 p.m. every Friday through Friday, Oct. 24, 2025. This eight-week course is cumulative so please try to attend each class. Founder’s Day Fest

Get ready to party through the decades at Founder's Day Fest 5-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, 2025, at Brazos Park! UT Arlington celebrates 130 years of Maverick history with the ultimate throwback-meets-today event. Come dressed in clothes from your favorite decade or century—whether you’re rocking '70s tie-dye, '80s neons, or '90s grunge—and enjoy the best music from the past and present. Let’s make this Founder's Day one for the books and make memories you’ll be talking about for the next 130 years.

XKO MMA & Muay Thai

The most electrifying fight night in Texas is back! Levitt Pavilion Summer Concert Series & Asian Heritage Celebration

Levitt Pavilion Arlington’s Summer Concert Series continues 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, 2025, as Dalton Domino feat. Brock Roggow takes the stage, and then 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, it’s the 4th Annual Asian Heritage Celebration. These concerts are free. Open seating is available on the lawn. Please bring blankets and lawn chairs. You also can bring your own food and coolers with beverages, including alcohol, but no glass containers, please. Parking is free. Free Haunted House in Downtown Arlington

The 3rd annual Haunted House event takes place in and outside The Chosen One Ink 8:30 p.m. to midnight Friday, Oct. 10 and Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025. Live actors, animatronics, piercing specials and free candy for the gools and goblins! Children are welcome with an adult! Come join for a fun and safe time. Feel free to wear any kind of costume clothing and get in The Halloween Spirit!

Salsa at the Gardens

Salsa Night is taking over Sports & Social at Texas Live! 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10, 2025! Get ready for a high-energy evening of rhythm, movement, and celebration. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or just starting out, this event is perfect for all skill levels. Enjoy beginner-friendly salsa lessons led by Alejandro Acevedo, followed by nonstop music all night long from DJ DEEjaymexa. Don’t forget to dress up for the Halloween Costume Contest — prizes and bragging rights are on the line.

Yoga at the Lake Arlington Garden

Join for a free outdoor yoga class at the Lake Arlington Native Plant and Pollinator Garden 8:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025. Space is limited. Arlington Water Utilities and Tarrant Regional Water District are working with local conservation stakeholders and community groups to restore native prairie and wildflowers to 2.75 acres of land adjacent to the Lake Arlington Dam. This gated area at 5500 Lake Arlington Drive also features demonstration garden beds with native plants.

Downtown Arlington Farmers Market

The Downtown Arlington Farmers Market runs every Saturday through November from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot at the corner of Front and Center Streets. The market will feature fresh, locally-source produce, unique artisan goods and community connection.

Breast Cancer Awareness Health Fair

Are you in need of a mammogram, well woman exam, prostate screening, or flu vaccine? Join Arlington City Council District 3 Representative Nikkie Hunter for her 4th Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Health Fair. This free community event is set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.  Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025, at the Bob Duncan Center.

The fair will feature free health screenings, vendor resources, and educational information aimed at promoting early detection and supporting community wellness.

Participants can access:

  • Free breast cancer and general health screenings provided by local healthcare partners
  • Information booths and vendor exhibits with resources for women and families
  • Community engagement opportunities with local nonprofits and service providers

Phantom Lights

Calling all ghouls and goblins to join for a spooktacular evening at Phantom Lights 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025, at Cliff Nelson Recreation Center! Floating lanterns will be available for purchase while supplies last at $10 per lantern. You'll have a chance to decorate your lantern before our group launch on the pond at 7:30 p.m. Enjoy live music, games, bounce house, vendors and more. This event is free and open to all ages. Sensory-friendly launch will take place from 5:30-6:00 p.m.
