Former Third-Party Notification System Experiences Data Breach

The City of Arlington was recently notified that its former third-party mass notification system, CodeRed, has been impacted by a cybersecurity incident where user data such as email addresses and passwords were potentially compromised.

Arlington residents and other users who previously registered with the system should update their passwords on any other accounts that use the same password as their CodeRed account did.

Residents are encouraged to stay informed about City-related information like service delays, facility closures and other important information by:

• Following the City on social media
• Signing up for MyArlingtonTX news emails
• Registering for text alerts through the City’s chatbot by texting “hello” to 855-950-4110.
• Download the Arlington Water App to receive push notifications.
• Check with City’s website for updated information.
