About Your Council Member
Brittney Garcia-Dumas was elected to the Arlington City Council in May 2026 and proudly represents District 5. A lifelong Arlington resident, entrepreneur, and community leader, she has dedicated her career to strengthening local businesses, fostering civic engagement, and building partnerships that help Arlington thrive.
As the founder of BGD Digital Marketing and The Arlington Shop, Garcia-Dumas has worked with hundreds of organizations to develop strategic growth initiatives while championing Arlington’s business community. Her leadership has earned recognition as one of Arlington’s Top 40 Under 40 and as a member of Latino Leaders Magazine’s National 100 Latinas List.
Beyond her professional work, Garcia-Dumas has served on numerous civic and nonprofit boards and has long been an advocate for resident engagement, economic opportunity, and the continued growth of Arlington. As Council Member for District 5, she is committed to thoughtful leadership, transparent government, and ensuring Arlington remains a city where residents, businesses, and future generations can succeed.
