Carter with co‑host Jock Bethune, a longtime narrator for American Airlines training films and a historian of the airport’s development.
"Atlas of Champions” Connects UTA Libraries’ Collections to World Cup Published on July 07, 2026 The exhibit brings together more than 48 maps, one representing each country that qualified for the tournament, along with additional selections that highlight key matchups and memorable moments in soccer history.
$1.6 Million Project will Upgrade Aging Water Mains in East Arlington Published on January 11, 2022 An Arlington Water Utilities water main renewal project set to begin in January 2022 will replace 9,400 linear feet, or about 1 3/4 – miles, of 6-inch and 8-inch cement and cast-iron water mains along various residential streets in East Arlington.
$1.8 Million Dollar Sidewalk Improvements on Brown Boulevard Published on April 24, 2026 Beginning in May, Public Works will begin resurfacing Brown Boulevard in North Arlington, building new sidewalks and ADA-compliant ramps and making other improvements to create a better experience for drivers and pedestrians.
Pierce Burch Water Plant Upgrades Halfway Done – $112.5M Project Published on August 19, 2024 The upgrades include new chemical facilities, new clear wells for storing water, a new high service pump station, power distribution facilities, and emergency generators.
$19 Million in Street Maintenance Projects Underway in Arlington Published on October 23, 2025 Over $19 million in street maintenance projects are underway right now across the city, including work to UTA Boulevard between Davis Drive and Cooper Street.
$2 Million Dollar Sidewalk Improvements on Allen Avenue Published on April 10, 2026 The Allen Avenue Sidewalk Project is scheduled to begin in April 2026 and is estimated to be completed in December 2026.
$2.2 Million Marquis Circle Drainage Improvements Reduce Flood Risk Published on September 11, 2026 The project included upsizing existing storm drainage infrastructure, replacing and rehabilitating sanitary sewer facilities in the area, and replacing a failing storm drain outfall to Lake Arlington.
Public Meeting Scheduled for Ditch Improvement Project Published on July 09, 2026 This project is estimated to be completed in September 2027.
