Now Accepting Applications!

The Arlington Tomorrow Foundation is now accepting applications for three openings on its five-member Advisory Committee to assist the Foundation’s Board in its grant-making activities. The Arlington Tomorrow Foundation is seeking candidates throughout The American Dream City who bring varying professional and volunteer backgrounds and some firsthand experience with philanthropy. They should also reflect the City’s unique characteristics and diversity. Ideal candidates should have a broad knowledge of Arlington, and an understanding of the ways Foundations can help improve the quality of life for all who call Arlington home.

All committee members must be Arlington residents. Advisory Committee members are expected to meet up to six times a year and serve a term of two years. The selection process may include interviews with a sub-committee of the board members, which will be subject to Open Record requirements. Final appointments are made by the full Board of Directors.

About the Committee

The Arlington Tomorrow Foundation's Advisory Committee is a five-member group of Arlington residents who are responsible for reviewing the grant applications received by the Foundation from local non-profit organizations and City of Arlington departments.

As part of their work, the committee forwards recommendations on inviting final applications and grant awards to the Foundation's board of directors.

When contemplating grant requests, the committee considers a project or program's ability to align with the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation's mission and its funding priorities. Advisory Committee members serve two-year terms and are appointed and approved by the Foundation's board of directors.
