Day Camps

The City of Arlington Parks, Recreation & Culture Department is dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment for participants. We welcome all people no matter their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or age (program specific).

We have developed a program that enables campers to thrive in a program knowing they are safe, respected, and treated with kindness by their peers and counselors. A Program Participant Pledge will be provided and can be found on our website. We ask that parents read and discuss this pledge with their camper.

Standard of Care

The City of Arlington is not regulated by any licensing agency because it is a municipality. We are asked to complete several requirements in order to have that licensing waived. View a complete copy of the Standards of Care(PDF, 305KB).

Registration

Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis. There is limited space in camp at each location. Payment is due in full at the time of registration. Staff are unable to hold any spots for customers. Registration and payment are the only sure way to guarantee a space for camp on any given week.

Program Participant Pledge

Bullying is any severe, pervasive, or persistent act or conduct whether physical, electronic, or verbal that may be based on a person's race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, or disability; can put someone in a physical or mental harm; and substantially interferes with someone's ability to participate in or benefit from our programs.

I am against bullying and I will:

Be the best I can be. I choose to be kind to everyone around me. I will not be mean to others, name call, fight, or use hurtful language.

Speak up. If I am being bullying, or if someone else is being bullied, I will alert a counselor, parent, or other adult that I trust so that someone can help me.

Be a leader. If someone else is being bullied, I will step in only if it is safe and I will not use violence. I will not watch, laugh, or join in. I will ask my friends to not bully either.

Be kind online. I won't say or do mean things over social media or text. I won't spread any bullying texts or social media posts that I see to others.

Be respectful. I want the same respect for everyone no matter their race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, or disability.

Be a friend. I will be a friend when someone needs a friend. I will be a positive role model and stand up to bullying.
