The Upstairs Gallery Presents Fall Gallery Night on Oct. 3, 2026

The Upstairs Gallery will present a fall gallery night, called Local Color: A Celebration of Arlington 150, from noon to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026.

The gallery, located at 1038 W. Abram St., has been featuring Arlington-area artists since 1967. The Upstairs Gallery, founded by Eleanor Grace Martin and her artist friends, offers art classes and exhibitions that showcase the work of artists through paintings, pottery, jewelry and other original arts.

Art at the exhibition includes "Great-Great Grandfather's Cabin," an oil painting of the Jopling-Melear Cabin by Judy Gelfert. The artist said she was inspired to paint the scene when she discovered that D.W. Joplin, whose pioneer cabin stands at Knapp Heritage Park in Arlington, was her great, great grandfather. 

In addition to wearable art jewelry and pottery selections, other work on exhibit includes:
