Symphony Arlington Announces 2026–27 All-American Season

Symphony Arlington announces its 2026-27 All-American Season, an eight-concert series bringing celebrated guest artists, major orchestral masterworks, American favorites, and audience traditions to the historic Arlington Music Hall.
Under the direction of founder and Music Director Maestro Robert Carter Austin, the season opens October 15, 2026, and continues through May 6, 2027. All subscription concerts take place on Thursday evenings at 7:30 p.m.
The season opens on October 15 with pianist Simone Sala in an evening devoted to the music of George Gershwin. The program includes the Overture to Girl Crazy, Lullaby, Promenade, An American in Paris, and the Piano Concerto in F Major.
On November 19, cellist Iona Batchelder joins Symphony Arlington for Dvořák’s Cello Concerto in a program also featuring Copland’s El Salón México, Gershwin’s Promenade, and Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances.
Symphony Arlington celebrates the holiday season on December 17 with mezzo-soprano Lauren Randolph. The program brings together Leroy Anderson’s A Christmas Festival, George Whitefield Chadwick’s Noël from Symphonic Dances, selections from Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors, Barber’s Die Natali, Jingle Bells Forever arranged by Smith, and Stephenson’s A Charleston Christmas. The evening concludes with Symphony Arlington’s annual Christmas Pops Sing-Along.
The new year begins on January 14, 2027, with pianist Lindsay Garritson, performing Bartók’s Piano Concerto No. 3. The orchestra will also perform Barber’s Overture to The School for Scandal and Bernstein’s Symphonic Suite from On the Waterfront.
The season continues on February 18 with a program including a Stephen Foster medley and music by Aaron Copland, with additional repertoire and guest artist information to be announced.
On March 18, internationally acclaimed Mexican conductor Juan Carlos Lomónaco joins Symphony Arlington as guest conductor, alongside pianist Jonathan Mamora. The program includes Michael Daugherty’s Red Cape Tango, Ferde Grofé’s Grand Canyon Suite, and Tchaikovsky’s monumental Piano Concerto No. 1.
Concertmaster of the Utah Symphony Madeline Adkins appears as violin soloist on April 15 in John Corigliano’s The Red Violin. The evening opens with John Williams’ Overture to The Cowboys and also features Symphony Arlington’s 19th Annual Great Movie Scores Quiz, an audience favorite celebrating music from the silver screen.
The season concludes on May 6 with pianist Sean Kennard performing Samuel Barber’s Piano Concerto. Morton Gould’s American Salute opens the program before the season comes to a close with Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9, From the New World.
The 2026–27 season continues Symphony Arlington’s commitment to presenting professional orchestral music in the heart of Arlington. Founded in 2000, the orchestra has grown from performances in a 200-seat theater to become one of Arlington’s core cultural attractions. Today, Symphony Arlington comprises more than 90 professional musicians representing more than 19 nations and performs its main season at the historic Arlington Music Hall.
Beyond the concert hall, Symphony Arlington maintains an extensive commitment to music education and community engagement. Its education and community programs reach more than 10,000 people annually, including young students, retirement communities, healthcare facilities, and audiences throughout the region.

Full-season subscriptions range from $150 to $300, with single-concert tickets ranging from $20 to $50 depending on seating section.
