Cooking Well: Texas Meets Mediterranean

 What happens when bold Lone Star flavor meets the sun-drenched, heart-healthy lifestyle of the Mediterranean? You get the ultimate kitchen mashup! Welcome to Cooking Well: Texas Meets Mediterranean—a delicious, three-week class designed to show you that eating for longevity doesn't mean giving up the comforting flavors you love. Over three fun, weekly sessions, we’ll demystify the Mediterranean diet and show you exactly how to make it feel right at home in your Texas kitchen. Join part one of the three week series on Thursday, Sept. 10 from 1 – 3 p.m. at George W. Hawkes Downtown Library.

Summer Music Series ft. Taylor Craig Mills

Kick off your weekend with live music at the Summer Music Series on Friday, Sept. 11 from 6–8 p.m. at Home Plate at Texas Rangers Golf Club. This week’s featured artist, Taylor Craig Mills, will perform inside Home Plate while guests enjoy food and beverage specials throughout the evening. There’s no cover charge, but advance registration is encouraged by calling (817) 575-8299.

Stars, Stripes, & Remembrance

Celebrate and remember during Stars, Stripes, and Remembrance on Friday, Sept. 11 at Levitt Pavilion Arlington. The evening begins at 7 p.m. with a remembrance moment, guest speakers and the Levitt Youth Spotlight, followed by a performance from country artist Coffey Anderson at 8:30 p.m. The special event honors the 25th anniversary of 9/11.

Canines & Coffee at the Doggie Depot

Get ready to kickstart your Saturday morning with the ultimate combination of coffee, community, and canine fun! Downtown Arlington invites you and your furry best friend to our monthly Canines & Coffee event.

This free event is designed for dog lovers and their pups to socialize and enjoy the fresh air at the Downtown Arlington Doggie Depot. We're thrilled to feature pop-up coffee from Downtown Arlington local coffee shops.

Welcome Back to Hogwarts

Put on your wizard robes and join us for Welcome Back to Hogwarts at George W. Hawkes Downtown Library on Saturday, Sept. 12 from 11 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Families can make magical crafts, go through a Hogwarts Houses scavenger hunt, play a mini Quidditch game, create a wand, and more on the 1st floor children’s department and 2nd floor teen area. This event is free and open to the public.  It is designed to be flexible on time so that families can participate at any time during the program's duration.
