The Arlington Police Department is investigating a motorcycle crash that resulted in the death of an 18-year-old man.
On Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 1:01 a.m., officers were dispatched to the westbound lanes of I-20 near Bowman Springs Road in response to a collision involving a motorcycle and a Honda Civic.
When officers arrived, they found the 18-year-old, who was riding the motorcycle, lying on the shoulder of the highway. He was transported to an area hospital where he later died from his injuries.
Investigators determined the motorcycle rider collided with the rear end of the Civic and was thrown from the bike. The impact caused the Civic to strike construction barriers in the area. The driver of the Civic was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators believe the motorcycle rider was traveling at a high rate of speed when the crash occurred.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the man’s name.
