Elzie Odom Athletic Center Renovations to Begin in November 2026

Elzie Odom Athletic Center is set to undergo extensive renovations beginning in November 2026. The project is expected to continue into 2027, with the facility remaining open throughout the duration of the project.

All areas of the 60,000 square foot center will see improvements, including the front desk, offices, basketball gym, arena lobby, activity rooms, and the weight room and cardio area, which will be extended and include new cardio and circuit machines, as well as new weights.

The project will take place over two main phases and include both the first and second floors. Access points and equipment locations may change as needed throughout construction.

Elzie Odom Athletic Center will continue to serve as a polling location during early voting and Election Day voting. Classes, events and programs will remain ongoing at the center.
