The Arlington Tomorrow Foundation Board of Directors approved five grants totaling $235,000 at the October 2026 board meeting.
Since its creation, the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation has awarded almost 600 grants totaling more than $57million to Arlington nonprofit organizations, City of Arlington departments and neighborhood groups for projects that help the public.
The Foundation's mission is to contribute to a thriving Arlington by supporting the causes which benefit Arlington's citizens and enhance the natural surroundings and lifestyle of the city. The Foundation most recently approved the following grants include:
Academy 4 – Mentorship and Leadership Programs in Arlington ISD | $90,000
Academy 4 will expand its mentoring and leadership programs to serve fourth and fifth grade students at three Arlington ISD Title I campuses: Miller, Bryant, and Fitzgerald Elementary Schools. With this funding, the organization will launch Academy 4 at Miller and Bryant while sustaining the existing program at Fitzgerald, providing monthly small‑group clubs and one‑to‑one mentoring that build confidence, leadership skills and positive adult relationships. The initiative will also support LEADERS 5, where fifth graders mentor first graders, strengthening social‑emotional development and school engagement. During the 2026–2027 school year, the programs will serve approximately 375 students, supported by volunteers recruited through local churches, businesses and university partners.
Arlington Kiwanis Foundation – School Supply Squad | $10,000
The Arlington Kiwanis Foundation will expand its long‑running School Supply Squad program to provide free classroom supplies to students in Arlington ISD and Mansfield ISD Title I schools. With this grant from the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation, the organization will purchase essential items from its 35‑item supply list and distribute them directly to campuses, ensuring that financially under-resourced students have the tools they need to learn without burdening teachers or families. Supplies will be delivered throughout the 2026–2027 school year, supporting equitable learning environments for students across 64 schools.
Metro Sports Fieldhouse – Metro Soles‑For‑Kids Winter Event | $50,000
Metro Sports Fieldhouse will host its annual Metro Soles‑For‑Kids Winter Event to provide 750 Arlington children with free athletic shoes, clothing and essential items that support health, confidence and year‑round participation in sports and enrichment programs. With this grant from the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation, the organization will purchase high‑quality shoes and necessities to ensure each child receives items valued at approximately $100. The event will also feature a health and wellness fair in partnership with First United Methodist Church of Arlington, offering families access to community resources from local nonprofits and service providers. The event will take place in December 2026, with all supplies and services delivered during the holiday season.
ShareFest‑Texas – Safe Housing: Bed Components | $35,000
ShareFest‑Texas will expand its Safe Housing program by purchasing new bed components to furnish apartments for domestic violence survivors, child abuse victim families, veterans, foster youth and other vulnerable households relocating into agency‑sponsored housing. With this grant from the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation, the organization will secure bulk quantities of new frames, mattresses, pillows and bedding to ensure every family receives safe, clean, and durable bedroom essentials. This investment will allow ShareFest‑Texas to maintain consistent inventory, reduce delivery delays and furnish each home with the full set of items provided through its whole‑home setup model.
Tarrant To & Through Partnership – Postsecondary Pathways for Economic Mobility in Arlington | $30,000
Tarrant To & Through Partnership (T3) will expand its continuum of postsecondary and workforce readiness support for Arlington students, helping them navigate pathways into college, certification programs, and high‑demand careers. The foundation’s grant will strengthen T3’s advising, family engagement, college persistence coaching and career exploration services for more than 2,400 Arlington‑resident students, including those attending Lamar High School. The program offers year‑round guidance beginning in middle school and continuing through postsecondary completion, ensuring students have clear plans, access to resources, and support through critical transition points. Funding will help advance key goals for the 2026–2027 school year, such as increasing career readiness among students without postsecondary plans, raising enrollment at partner colleges, and improving credential completion rates.
