Get ready to add some oompah to your weekend plans with live German music, food trucks, beverages, yard games and more at Arlington’s annual Oktoberfest celebration.

Oktoberfest 2026 is set from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23 at SJ Stovall Park, 2800 W. Sublett Road, in southwest Arlington. This family-friendly event is presented by Arlington Parks, Recreation and Culture and the Sister Cities of Arlington, Texas. Planned activities include music by the German Band of North Texas, a stein hosting contest, food trucks, a photo booth and more.

The City of Arlington is celebrating the 75th anniversary of its Sister City relationship with Bad Konigshofen, a small northern Bavarian town in Germany. Arlington’s relationship with its Sister City, a “Friendship Solid as a Rock,” started in 1951 and continues through this day.

While parking and entrance to the event is free, food trucks and other vendors will accept cash or card for purchases. Food and beer will be available for purchase from the City's Home Plate Restaurant. Participants are also invited to bring their own coolers to the 75th anniversary picnic.
