Fall fun is in full swing – let’s make it a November to remember! Mark your calendar for these upcoming November events with Arlington Parks, Recreation & Culture.

Sesquicentennial Tree Planting & Time Capsule Burial – Friday, November 6

As the City of Arlington celebrates its 150th anniversary, we’re marking the milestone not just by looking back, but by growing forward. This event caps off a year-long, citywide effort to plant 150 trees per month in honor of Arlington’s 150 years - a living legacy rooted in community, sustainability, and pride. Join us from 2-3 PM at Rotary Dream Park for a special tree planting and time capsule burial celebrating Arlington’s Sesquicentennial milestone.

Tottie Lynn Play Days: Turkey Time – Friday, November 13

Come join us for a festive Thanksgiving-themed event filled with fun crafts and activities at Dottie Lynn Recreation Center from 10 AM to noon! This come-and-go event is designated for kids 5 & under, and we ask that all participants are escorted by a guardian 18 years or older.

Nature Night: Turkey Hunt Geocaching – Friday, November 13

Birds of a feather, it's time to flock together at Cliff Nelson’s Nature Night! Our turkey has lost their feathers, and we need your help to find them. After a brief orientation, we'll set you free to start your search. Once all the feathers are found, bring your turkey back to the check-in table to claim your prize! This event from 6-8 PM is free to attend and open to all ages.

Pages & Poses (13+ yrs) – Saturday, November 14

Let’s read and move together at this monthly event hosted by Dottie Lynn Recreation Center! We’ll select a book each month and meet to discuss its themes, followed by a curated yoga flow inspired by the story from 1-2:30 PM. This month’s featured book is The Chicken Sisters by K. J. Dell’Antonia.

A Cup of Thanks: Thanksgiving Social (50+ yrs) - Wednesday, November 25

Join us for a cozy afternoon of gratitude, laughter, and holiday cheer at ACTIV! Enjoy a warm cup of hot chocolate, delicious cookies, and a festive Thanksgiving craft as we celebrate the season together from 10-11:30 AM. Bring a friend, get creative, and take a moment to enjoy good company and give thanks! Must be 50Y+ to participate.
