Cooking with Cops
Fire up the grill and meet your local officers at Cooking with Cops on Thursday, May 28 from 4–8 p.m. at Vandergriff Park. This free community event brings residents and Arlington police officers together for grilled food, games, drone demonstrations, the SWAT vehicle, and family-friendly fun. It’s a relaxed evening designed to connect neighbors and first responders in a fun outdoor setting.
Levitt Pavilion Concerts
Another weekend of free live music is coming to downtown Arlington on May 29–30 from 7:10–10 p.m. at Levitt Pavilion Arlington. Friday, May 29 features the Levitt Youth Spotlight presented by Texas Trust Credit Union at 7:10 p.m., followed by Max and Landon Band at 7:30 p.m. and Texas favorites Cut Throat Finches headlining at 8:30 p.m.
The music continues on Saturday, May 30 with another Levitt Youth Spotlight performance at 7:10 p.m., Chef Dee taking the stage at 7:30 p.m., and acclaimed soul and R&B artist Odell Bunton Jr. closing out the night at 8:30 p.m. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy two nights of live music, community, and summer vibes under the Arlington sky.
Discover Summer Kickoff – Arlington’s 150th Edition
Celebrate 150 years of Arlington at our Discover Summer Kickoff! Enjoy crafts, games, activities, and more for the whole family. Stop by to register for our summer reading challenge through Beanstack and earn prizes all summer long! All ages are welcome. Join us on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library.
Lake Arlington Garden Activity Day
Spend the morning outdoors at Lake Arlington Garden Activity Day on Tuesday, June 2 from 8–10 a.m. at the Lake Arlington Native & Pollinator Garden. Volunteers will help restore native prairie land and care for demonstration gardens filled with native plants and wildflowers near Lake Arlington Dam. It’s a hands-on opportunity to support local conservation efforts while enjoying one of Arlington’s scenic natural spaces.
World of the Orchestra Instrument Petting Zoo
Young music lovers can explore the sounds of the symphony at the World of the Orchestra Instrument Petting Zoo on Tuesday, June 2 from 2:30–3:30 p.m. at the Northeast Branch Library. Presented by Symphony Arlington, this interactive program gives children the chance to hear, touch, and learn about orchestra instruments through storytime, live music, and hands-on exploration. Designed especially for preschool and kindergarten-aged children, the event offers a fun introduction to the world of classical music.
