The City of Arlington wants to help you throw the ultimate neighborhood bash and make great summer memories with your neighbors.
Our Block Party Trailer, available for free to neighborhood associations, churches, schools and nonprofits within Arlington, is filled with tables, chairs, coolers, games and other party needs for your upcoming neighborhood event.
The goal of the Block Party Trailer is to increase community engagement within neighborhoods throughout The American Dream City by providing a fun way for neighbors to get together.
“Block parties are a great way for neighbors to meet in a casual, fun setting. We love to see our Arlington families connect and come to care for each other as well as for the overall health and vibrancy of their neighborhoods,” said Cynthia Cruz, Office of Strategic Initiatives principal planner.
Eligible neighborhood groups wanting to reserve the trailer must submit an application at least 10 days before their scheduled event. Email blockparty@arlingtontx.gov to verify the trailer is available on your event date.
If approved, the trailer will be dropped off the day before your event and picked up the following business day.
Reservations are first-come, first-served and can be made twice per year per neighborhood or organization, plus National Night Out. Neighborhoods reserving the trailer must also enroll in the City’s Neighborhood Directory.
The Block Party Trailer, which launched in 2016, aligns with the City Council priority to Strengthen Our Communities.
