Spend your Spring Break at the Arlington Public Library! Join us for a week of fun free programs and activities for all ages from March 16-20, 2026.

Monday, March 16

Family Storytime
10:30 – 11:15 a.m. | Ron Wright Lake Arlington Library
Join our fabulous library staff as we explore stories, rhymes, songs, and more.
This program is for ages 2–4.

Fossil Discovery
1:30 – 2:30 p.m. | Downtown Library
Dig into a special prehistoric STEAM adventure! Kids will learn about paleontology and archaeology while exploring fossils and dinosaur bones.
This program is for ages 5 and up.

Family Craft Night: St. Patrick’s Day
4:30 – 6 p.m. | Southeast Library
Gather the family for a fun night of DIY crafts! Free supplies will be provided for themed activities celebrating spring, creativity, and collaboration.
Drop in anytime during the program.
This program is for ages ages 5+.

Tuesday, March 17

Read & Play 
10 – 11:30 a.m. | Downtown Library
Read and explore activity stations and play materials alongside your child.
Drop in anytime during the program.
This program is for ages 1–5.

American Girl Tea Party 
2 – 3:30 p.m. | Ron Wright Lake Arlington Library
Do you love the American Girl book series? Celebrate the United States’ 250th birthday with a fun American Girl tea party! Enjoy snacks, chat about the books, and create crafts inspired by different time periods from the series.
Feel free to bring your American Girl doll (optional).
This program is for ages 5–10.

Spy Academy
4:30 – 5:30 p.m. | Southeast Library
Think you have what it takes to be a top-level spy? Put your skills to the test with brainteasers, DIY spy gear, and clue-solving challenges.
This program is for ages 7 and up.

Wednesday, March 18

Family Storytime
10:30 – 11:15 a.m. | Woodland West Library
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and Irish Heritage Month with themed stories and songs.
This program is for ages 2–4.

Book Character Mini Golf 
2 – 3:30 p.m. | Southwest Library
Young readers and golfers, join us for 10 book-themed mini golf holes designed for fun and adventure!
This program is for ages 3–8.

Batman Meetup 
5:30 – 6:30 p.m. | Downtown Library Teen Area
Are you a Batman fan? Create your own Batman character, help build Gotham City, join trivia, and debate all things, Batman. Try not to get too batty!
Cosplay encouraged.
For teens ages 13–17 only.

Movie Nights @ the Levitt – Encanto Sing-Along
6:30 – 9:30 p.m. | Levitt Pavilion
Movie nights are back! Join us for a special Encanto sing-along with family and friends. The movie begins at 7:30 p.m. but come early to grab a spot and enjoy the vendor market. Food trucks will be onsite.
Free and open to all ages.

Thursday, March 19

Music ’n Motion Storytime
10:30 – 11:15 a.m. | Southwest Library
Laugh, dance, listen, and sing! Enjoy an energetic storytime featuring music, rhymes, fingerplays, and movement.
This program is for ages 1–6.

Paws to Read
2:30 – 3:30 p.m. | Ron Wright Lake Arlington Library
Practice reading aloud with a canine friend! Heart of Texas Therapy Dogs partners with the Arlington Public Library to create a relaxed, friendly reading environment.
Bring your own book or borrow one of ours. This program is for ages 5-12.

Doodlers Unite!
4:30 – 5:30 p.m. | Ron Wright Lake Arlington Library
Love kawaii-style doodles? Relax, listen to music, chat, and draw with different prompts each session.
For teens ages 13–17 only.

Movie Nights @ the Levitt – Cars
6:30 – 9:30 p.m. | Levitt Pavilion
Join us for a special showing of Cars. The movie starts at 7:30 p.m. Arrive early for the vendor market and food trucks.
Free and open to all ages.

Friday, March 20

Little Explorers
10 – 11:30 a.m. | Downtown Library
Enjoy a morning of play-based learning as we explore art, math, science, engineering, and fine motor skills through hands-on activities.
Designed for ages 1–4.

Mario Kart Tournament
1:30 – 3:30 p.m. | Downtown Library Teen Area
Get your karts ready! Compete in a bracket-style Mario Kart 8 Deluxe tournament on the Nintendo Switch. No Switch required to participate.
For teens ages 13–17 only.

Booked for the Night Concert
6 – 10 p.m. | Levitt Pavilion
Reading gets LIT at this free, family-friendly reading party! Browse a book-themed market, enjoy a silent reading hour on the lawn, then dance along with storytime, DJ Gurrl, and live music from Brad Thompson.
Free and open to all ages.
