Celebrate Arlington’s 150 Years at Lego Free Play

Celebrate Arlington’s 150th anniversary at Lego Free Play on Wednesday, March 4 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the Ron Wright Lake Arlington Branch Library. Kids will learn about the history of the railroad in Arlington and build their own train station scenes using LEGO® bricks during this fun, creative afternoon. Designed for school-age children, this free, come-and-go program requires no registration. Space and supplies are first come, first served.

First Thursdays Downtown Arlington

Head to First Thursdays Downtown Arlington on Thursday, March 5 from 5 to 8 p.m. for an evening of live music, local vendors, art experiences, food trucks, and extended hours at downtown shops and restaurants. Featured free events this month include musical instrument petting zoo with Coyote Music Studio, live corndog & hotdog portrait art, School of Rock Busker Showcase, and face paint party. This monthly community event transforms Downtown Arlington into a lively, walkable celebration of local culture, creativity, and connection.

Meet the Chief

Grab coffee and conversation at Meet the Chief on March 6 from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at Marquez Bakery. Hosted by the Arlington Fire Department, this casual meet-and-greet offers the chance to connect with Fire Chief Bret Stidham, enjoy sweet bread and coffee, and ask questions about fire safety and community programs.

Game Night

Enjoy a fun and friendly Game Night at Woodland West on Friday, March 6 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Woodland West Branch Library. With a variety of board games, card games, and group favorites available, players of all ages and skill levels are welcome to join in—whether you come solo or bring friends for a relaxed evening of games and good company.

TESSA 2026 National Storm Conference

Weather enthusiasts are invited to the TESSA 2026 National Storm Conference on Saturday, March 7 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at UTA’s Bluebonnet Ballroom. Hosted by TESSA and the UTA Emergency Management Office, this free, public event features expert presentations from storm spotters, chasers, researchers, and emergency professionals from across the country—no registration required.
