Enjoy movie night with the family or get ready to go on a nature hike with these free and fun events scheduled across The American Dream City from March 19-21, 2026. Check back each week for a new list of family-friendly activities!

Movie Nights at the Levitt

Enjoy two nights of family-friendly fun at Movie Nights at the Levitt on March 18 and 19 at Levitt Pavilion in Downtown Arlington. The evenings begin at 6 p.m. with a vendor market and food trucks, followed by outdoor movies at 7:30 p.m.—an Encanto sing-along on March 18 and Cars on March 19. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs and enjoy a free movie under the stars during Spring Break.

Texas Authors Book Club – May Cobb, Big Woods

The Texas Authors Book Club will meet Thursday, March 19 at 6:30 p.m. at the Fielder Museum, 1616 W. Abram St. This month’s discussion features Big Woods by Texas author May Cobb, an award-winning writer whose suspenseful debut novel has earned national praise. The club is presented in partnership with the Arlington Historical Society and coordinated by O.K. Carter and Mark Dellenbaugh.

Booked for the Night Concert ft. Brad Thompson Band

Celebrate reading and music at Reading Gets LIT at Booked for the Night on Friday, March 20 at 7:15 p.m. on the Levitt Pavilion lawn. This free, family-friendly event features live music from the Brad Thompson Band, a set by DJ Gurrl, story time with the Arlington Public Library, a book-themed market, face painting, and a quiet reading hour on the lawn—creating a fun evening for book lovers of all ages.

DIY Sprinkler Repair

Learn how to keep your yard watering efficiently at the DIY Sprinkler Repair Workshop on Saturday, March 21 from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Arlington Public Library Northeast Branch, 1905 Brown Blvd. A licensed irrigator will cover the basics of sprinkler systems, including how to check for leaks, adjust heads, spot uneven coverage, and make simple repairs—plus attendees will receive a free sprinkler test kit.

Hike with a Naturalist

Explore the outdoors during Hike with a Naturalist on Saturday, March 21 at 1 p.m. at River Legacy Nature Center, 703 NW Green Oaks Blvd. This free, guided hike invites families and nature lovers ages five and up to discover signs of spring along the trails, from budding trees and wildflowers to active insects and birds. Space is limited to 25 participants and RSVP is required.
