This Fourth of July—let the pros light the sky.

As the holiday weekend approaches, we are reminding our residents and visitors that it is illegal to use fireworks in the City of Arlington. Every year, people across the country experience unnecessary death, injury and/or property damage because of fireworks. People who are caught using fireworks illegally in the City of Arlington may face a fine up to $2,000.

We recognize that neighborhoods across the city will still be filled with bangs, booms, and bright flashes of colorful light as people celebrate with illegal fireworks in their yards or at nearby parks. Leading up to the holiday, the City of Arlington will once again activate its fireworks reporting webpage, https://fireworksform.arlingtontx.gov/, that will allow residents to report fireworks activity to the Arlington Police Department while keeping 9-1-1 phone lines open for emergencies. This reporting tool can be accessed through the banner at the top of the City of Arlington webpage and through the City’s Ask Arlington app. This site allows residents to see the status of calls working in their neighborhoods as well.

If citizens are unable to access the online reporting form and need to report illegal fireworks, they should call the Arlington Fire Department’s non-emergency phone line at 817-274-4444. Citizens calling from a smartphone may receive a text message with a direct link to the City’s online fireworks activity reporting form. Citizens without a smartphone may provide the fireworks activity information directly to the calltaker.

Residents are asked to use this online reporting tool to report fireworks activity between:

  • 7 p.m. July 3 and 3 a.m. July 4
  • 7 p.m. July 4 and 3 a.m. July 5
  • 7 p.m. July 5 and 3 a.m. July 6

To report illegal fireworks outside of this timeframe, residents should call the Arlington Fire Department’s non-emergency phone line at 817-274-4444.

Light Up Arlington 2026

So please, leave the fireworks shows to the professionals. Instead, bring your family out to enjoy the City of Arlington’s free Light Up Arlington fireworks and drone show display at 9:30 p.m. Sunday, July 5, 2026, in the Entertainment District.

Fireworks and drones will be launched from the east side of Choctaw Stadium, 1000 Ballpark Way. The best viewing area for the show will be the grassy area surrounding Mark Holtz Lake, located near Choctaw Stadium and the National Medal of Honor Museum. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs. No glass bottles please.

Turn on your radio! Tune in to 95.9 The Ranch to hear the fireworks soundtrack synchronized with the show.

Free parking will be available in Texas Rangers Lots F, G, M and N. Lots will open to public parking at 7 p.m. to allow for the traffic from that day's baseball game to clear.
