As Arlington prepares to welcome thousands of international visitors for FIFA World Cup 2026™, the City is introducing a first-of-its-kind program designed to help fans feel at home, even when unexpected challenges arise.

Ambassador Row, located inside Choctaw Stadium, will serve as a dedicated hub where consular representatives from participating nations can assist their citizens just steps from the action. Sponsored by the City of Arlington and the Arlington Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB), this hub will provide convenient access to support services before, during and after matches, helping ensure a smoother and more enjoyable World Cup experience for visitors from around the globe.

Ambassador Row is located inside the Spark co-working space at 1000 Ballpark Way, Suite 310.

“We were really interested to see if there was a way that we could further welcome international visitors to Arlington by giving their embassies a space here,” Deputy City Manager Jennifer Wichmann said. “If they ran into trouble or had any issues, they could come and speak to someone from their nation who could really give them significant help.”

Countries participating in Ambassador Row include Argentina, Austria, Canada, Croatia, England, Japan, Jordan, Mexico, the Netherlands and Sweden. Consular officers will be available one to two days before and after their nation’s match, with Canada and Mexico maintaining a continued presence throughout the tournament.

Services may include assistance with lost passports, emergency travel documentation, medical or legal referrals, support for victims of crime and guidance during emergencies.

“Whether there is assistance with travel documents, visas or passports, if they have any issues while they’re here, they can get help,” Wichmann said. “If something significant happens — if they get injured or become ill — they can certainly reach out and get assistance from folks from their own nation.”

Ambassador Row is about a 10-minute walk from the stadium and can be easily reached using wayfinding signs posted throughout Arlington’s Entertainment District. Volunteers speaking multiple languages, including Spanish, Arabic, Japanese, Hindi, Urdu, French and Dutch, will also be available to assist visitors.

For Arlington leaders, the program reflects the City’s commitment to hospitality as it welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the world.

“Being the only city out of the 16 host cities that will offer these types of consular services to visitors from throughout the world, we just could not be more excited about that,” said Brent DeRaad, President and CEO of the Arlington Convention & Visitors Bureau.

DeRaad said the initiative aligns with Arlington’s diverse and international identity while helping create a positive experience for visitors.

“We want to make sure these international visitors have a great stay here in Arlington,” DeRaad said. “This gives us the chance to have them experience Arlington firsthand, tell their friends and family, and really help put Arlington on the map worldwide.”
