From one of the largest Fourth of July parades in Texas to family-friendly races, thrilling fireworks, and a spectacular drone show, the city is packed with patriotic fun all weekend long.

Arlington Independence Day Parade
The annual Arlington Independence Day Parade returns on Saturday, July 4, 2026, bringing patriotic pride to Downtown Arlington. Recognized as the largest Independence Day parade in Texas, this beloved tradition features colorful floats, marching bands, community groups, military tributes, and special celebrations.

Arlington Firecracker 5K
Before the parade steps off, lace up your running shoes for the Arlington Firecracker 5K. Starting at 7 a.m. on July 4, this festive race follows the parade route through Downtown Arlington and begins and ends at the iconic Levitt Pavilion.
The event welcomes runners and walkers of all ages and offers a fun, active way to start the holiday before enjoying the day’s festivities.

Star-Spangled Night presented by M&M’s
As the sun sets on Independence Day, head to Six Flags Over Texas for Star-Spangled Night presented by M&M’s. This annual celebration combines the thrills of world-class rides with a patriotic fireworks display that lights up the Arlington skyline.
Guests can enjoy special holiday entertainment throughout the park before capping off the evening with a dazzling fireworks spectacular.

Light Up Arlington 2026
The celebration continues Sunday, July 5, 2026, with Light Up Arlington 2026, the city’s biggest Independence Day event yet.
Created to honor both Arlington’s 150th anniversary and America’s 250th birthday, this special evening in the Entertainment District will feature a breathtaking combination of drone technology, music, and fireworks in a one-of-a-kind visual experience.
Event Schedule
- Parking lots open: 7 p.m.
- Drone and fireworks show begins: 9:30 p.m.
- Approximate show length: 18–20 minutes
Fireworks will be launched from the Six Flags parking area, creating spectacular views throughout the Entertainment District.
