Three North Texas film commissions are joining forces next month to host their first regional film-friendly mixer, aimed at bringing together filmmakers, industry professionals and city representatives from across the metroplex.
The Dallas Film Commission, Fort Worth Film Commission and Arlington, Texas Film Commission will cohost the networking event Aug. 12 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at PBR Texas at Texas Live. Organizers say the mixer will highlight growing opportunities for film production in the region.
Attendees will be able to meet with industry members as well as representatives from film commissions in Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington and the Texas Film Commission. Film-friendly liaisons from communities across North Texas will also be on hand to answer questions about locations, permitting and other production resources.
The event will offer complimentary passed food and beverages as well as free parking. Admission is open to anyone interested in learning more about filming in North Texas, though an RSVP is required to attend.
Prospective attendees can secure a spot at FortWorth.com/DFWMixer.
