Fairytale Fandom: Games & Trivia
Test your fairy tale knowledge at Fairytale Fandom: Games & Trivia on Thursday, July 23 from 1–2 p.m. at Ron Wright Lake Arlington Branch Library. Teens ages 13–17 can compete in fantasy-themed trivia, games, and interactive challenges inspired by classic fairy tales and modern fantasy favorites. Whether you're a casual fan or a lore expert, there's magic in store for everyone.
Summer Music Series
Enjoy an evening of live local music at the Summer Music Series on Friday, July 24 from 6–8 p.m. at Home Plate at Texas Rangers Golf Club. The series kicks off with singer-songwriter Emily Knutson, whose blend of country, folk, and Americana sets the perfect soundtrack for a summer evening. There is no cover charge, but advanced registration is encouraged by calling (817) 575-8299.
Friday Night Splash Party
Beat the summer heat at the Friday Night Splash Party on Friday, July 24 from 6–9 p.m. at The Beacon Recreation Center. Enjoy an evening of music, bounce houses, Gaga ball, and splash pad fun for the whole family, with food available for purchase throughout the event. Admission is free, but participants must register at the front desk to attend.
Quilting Retreat: Quillow
Stitch something cozy at the Quilting Retreat: Quillow on Saturday, July 25 from 10 a.m.–5 p.m. at George W. Hawkes Downtown Library. Adults with sewing machine experience can create a colorful "quillow"—a quilt that folds into a pillow—during this daylong quilting workshop. Registration is required to use the library's sewing machines, and participants may also bring their own machine.
Professor Pop’s Bubble Adventure
Get ready for bubbly fun at Professor Pop's Bubble Adventure on Wednesday, July 29 with shows at 2–2:45 p.m. at East Library & Recreation Center and 4:30–5:15 p.m. at the Southwest Branch Library. Packed with giant bubbles, magic, puppets, and hands-on science, this interactive show will have kids laughing while learning about the amazing world of bubbles. Designed for ages 5 and up, it's a perfect summer outing for the whole family.
