Summer is winding down soon, but the fun isn’t over just yet! Mark your calendar for these upcoming August events with Arlington Parks, Recreation & Culture.

Splash Tales at Don Misenhimer – Friday, August 7

Dive into a world of imagination and adventure at Splash Tales! This event will be held at the Don Misenhimer Park splash pad from 10-11 AM. Kids can come enjoy interactive stories, water-themed crafts, and splashing good fun at this free summer event!

Friday Night Splash Party – Friday, August 7

Join us under the stars at The Beacon’s splash pad from 6-9 PM for an evening filled with music, bounce houses, and Gaga ball! Come hungry and ready to snack as we will have hot dogs, nachos, snow cones, and other food options available for purchase, Admission is free and open to all ages, so bring your friends and family for a night of high-energy splash pad fun!

Dynamite Dive-In: BTS Summer Splash – Saturday, August 8

In celebration of the BTS WORLD TOUR ARIRANG coming to AT&T Stadium on Aug. 15 and 16, Arlington Aquatics is hosting a special BTS-themed swim night for fans at Randol Mill Family Aquatic Center from 7:30-9:30 PM. Dive in and enjoy BTS music with your fellow BTS ARMY members! We'll have purple beach balls and light up beach balls on hand for fun photo ops in the pool. Participants are invited to bring their BTS photo cards to swap with other guests. Attendance is $8 per person. Guests 12 months and under are free. Get your tickets now - this night will be Dynamite!

Boogie Down Burgers & Root Beer Floats (50+ yrs) – Thursday, August 13

Putting the boot to summer, kick it up with some fun! 50+ adults are invited to enjoy great company, good music, and delicious burgers and floats at ACTIV beginning at noon. Bold-colored attire and sequins are encouraged! $15 per person.

Day Trip to International Bowling Museum (50+ yrs) – Friday, August 14

Visit the International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame to explore the history and legends of bowling! Afterward, we'll grab lunch together at the lanes to see who has the best bowling skills (or the most entertaining gutter balls)! Shoe rental and lane time is included in your $45 ticket. Come ready for laughs, friendly competition, and a great time from 9 AM – 3:30 PM.
