Pothole repair is just one part of Arlington’s comprehensive maintenance strategy to help our streets last longer and provide a smoother ride for commuters.

By the numbers:

  • In Fiscal Year 2025, crews repaired 5,775 potholes across the 99-square-mile city
  • Most are patched within two days of being reported
  • Crews have already tackled 728 more in the first three months of Fiscal Year 2026.

Pothole repairs and other street maintenance improvements are funded by the quarter-cent street maintenance sales tax, first approved by Arlington voters in 2002.
