City Invests $63,670 in Neighborhood Matching Grant Projects for 2026

The City continues to invest in neighborhoods throughout The American Dream City, with the Arlington City Council approving $63,670 in new Neighborhood Matching Grants for four projects across the city.

The Neighborhood Matching Grant program was developed in 2007 to foster civic pride, enhance neighborhoods and encourage collaboration between residents and City government. The program aligns with the City Council priority of Strengthening Our Communities. The City has awarded more than $1.4 million in grants to 146 projects since the program began.

For a project to be considered, it must be submitted by neighbors, serve a public purpose, have a detailed timeline and meet all City codes. Each neighborhood must also contribute 20% grant match towards the project through cash, in-kind donations and/or volunteer hours.

The projects selected to receive funding in 2026 were:

• Wildwood Estates - $24,530 to build a neighborhood pickleball court
• Waterway Park North - $5,580 for entryway landscaping
• Enchanted Lakes Estates - $25,000 for landscaping at neighborhood periphery adjacent to Bowman Springs Park
• Eden Village. - $8,560 for entryway landscaping

The 2027 grant cycle will open in August 2026.
