Downtown to Host Free Touch-a-Truck Event, Pit Stop Food Drive

Bring the whole family for Downtown Arlington's premier race weekend event! From 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, March 14, Downtown is hosting a free, family-friendly Touch-a-Truck experience.

Kids of all ages can get up close with massive construction gear, emergency vehicles and unique specialty trucks at the event, which will be held in the public parking lot at 201 W. Abram St., just west of City Hall. Enjoy free face painting, balloon twisting, chalk art, crafts and more at this event.

Downtown Arlington is also asking the community to join the race to end hunger through its "Pit Stop" Food Drive. Bring canned food donations to the event to benefit Mission Arlington. Afterwards, residents are invited to head to one of Downtown's many restaurants to refuel with food and drinks. 

It’s the perfect pit stop to fuel your weekend excitement before inaugural Java House INDYCAR Grand Prix of Arlington, which will be held March 13-15, 2026.
