Support Your Library! Fall Book Sale Runs Sept. 22-25, 2026

The Friends and Foundation of the Arlington Public Library (FFAPL) will hold its annual Fall Book Sale from Tuesday, Sept. 22 through Friday, Sept. 25, 2026. This year's sale will be located at First United Methodist Church, 313 N. Center St. in Downtown Arlington.
FFAPL is a non-profit organization created to raise money to support library programming and services. Money raised by the Friends helps fund programs like author talks, storytimes, guest performers, facility enhancements, and more.
Shoppers can find numerous categories of books, including brand new books, along with puzzles, CDs, DVDs, art, games and audiobooks. Most items are $2. Cash, checks, and credit cards with a $5 minimum will be accepted.
The 2026 Fall Book Sale schedule:
- Tuesday, Sept. 22, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. - FFAPL member preview sale. Memberships available for purchase at the door.
- Wednesday, Sept. 23, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. – Open to the public
- Thursday, Sept. 24, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. - Open to the public
- Friday, Sept. 25, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. - Open to the public - half price day for all
- Friday, Sept. 25, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. - teacher and nonprofit sale ($5 suggested donation), all you can carry. ID required.
FFAPL will not accept book donations during the sale; however, a monetary donation may be made with the cashier. Book donations will continue the third Thursday and Saturday beginning in October.
Every purchase you make directly supports the Arlington Public Library's programs and services, from early literacy and cultural events to adult education and maker workshops. These funds help the Library continue to offer a wide range of free and valuable resources to the community.
