Texas Authors Book Club – The Injustice Never Leaves You by Monica Muñoz Martinez

The Texas Authors Book Club will meet on Thursday, April 16 at 6:30 p.m. at the Fielder Museum in Arlington, Texas. This session will feature a discussion of “The Injustice Never Leaves You” by Monica Muñoz Martinez, a powerful work examining anti-Mexican violence in Texas and its lasting historical impact. Hosted in partnership with the Arlington Historical Society, the club offers readers an opportunity to engage with meaningful Texas-based literature in a thoughtful, community setting.

Arlington Library’s Care Fair

Arlington Library’s Care Fair will take place on Saturday, April 18 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the East Library & Recreation Center in Arlington, Texas. This annual event connects residents with a wide range of community organizations offering resources for physical and mental health, environmental services, and basic needs support. Attendees can engage directly with local providers and learn about services available throughout the Arlington community.

UTA Planetarium Free Show

To celebrate its 20th anniversary, The University of Texas at Arlington’s Planetarium is offering free admission to a show on Saturday, April 18. The public can secure their spot to a 3 p.m. viewing of “Invaders of Mars” by registering at https://webapp.uta.edu/planetarium-tickets/purchase/75.

Tea Time! Arab American Heritage Month

Tea Time! Arab American Heritage Month will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 from 6:30–7:30 p.m. at the East Library & Recreation Center in Arlington, Texas. This program invites adults and seniors to explore the history and cultural significance of Moroccan mint tea while enjoying a complimentary tasting experience. Supplies are limited, offering attendees a relaxed and engaging opportunity to connect with global traditions through tea.
