Spring is in the air and Arlington Parks, Recreation & Culture has a month filled with fun activities for all!
Underwater Eggstravaganza - Friday, April 3
Come join us for our Fourth Annual EAST Underwater EGGstravaganza! Children will be able to hunt for eggs in the water and collect a prize at the end! Please take note of the following egg hunt times per age group: ages 3-5 years: 6:00pm-6:30pm; ages 6-9 years: 6:45pm-7:15pm; ages 10-12 years: 7:30pm -8:00pm. This event costs $8 per swimmer.

East Creek Clean Up - Saturday, April 4
Help beautify Bob Cooke Park as we remove trash and debris from our creek. Gloves, trash pickers, and all other supplies are provided. Whether you need community service hours or you just want to give back, we encourage everyone to come and help us make our park clean. This FREE event is from 9-11 AM for all ages (kids 12 and under must have a parent/guardian present).

Community Garage Sale & Market - Saturday, April 4
Don’t miss the chance to connect with your neighbors, support local vendors and businesses, and enjoy Cliff Nelson Park! This family-friendly, FREE event is from 9 AM-12 PM.
Hop & Pop Nerf Eggstravaganza - Friday, April 10
Hunt eggs, dodge darts, and compete in fun Nerf games. Elzie Odom Athletic Center will provide the ammo, just bring your blasters! This FREE action-packed Easter event begins at 5 PM and is perfect for kids ages 5 and up.

Bunny Hops and Spring Snapshots - Saturday, April 11
Starting at 10:30 AM, families can strike a pose with the Easter Bunny or enjoy a spring-themed backdrop at East Library and Recreation Center for just $10 per family.

Bass Classic - Saturday, April 18
Show off your angler skills at the 12th Annual Bass Classic at Lake Arlington. This event starts at 6:30 AM and is perfect for all ages, however kids ages 17 and under must have a parent/guardian authorization on registration form. A current 2026 boat permit is required.

Garden Party & Flower Planting (50+) - Wednesday, April 22
Celebrate the joy of gardening with a relaxed, social morning in the sunshine. Learn how to properly pot and care for flowers, enjoy tea and light refreshments, and take home your own blooming creation. Starting at 9:30 AM, this 50+ event at East Library and Recreation costs $5 per person.
