Here are a few ways you can enjoy your weekend in The American Dream City.

You Can’t Take It With You at Theatre Arlington

This is your last weekend to view You Can’t Take It With You at Theatre Arlington. This Pulitzer Prize winning comedy is one of the most popular and successful plays of all time. The beloved story of the wacky Sycamores and the straightlaced Kirbys, two families – so unlike in manner, politics and finances trying to set aside their differences and find unity. Showtimes are Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Learn more about tickets. It runs until Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025.

The World of Pumpkin Nights

Started in the patch, and now we're here. Born from a passion for local artistry and the ethereal magic of the season, Howell Family Farms mission sidestepped the usual gore and scares of Halloween, choosing instead to embrace the warmth and wonder of fall. At Pumpkin Nights, you'll journey through a half-mile trail dotted with the Forbidden City, a Pirate’s Cove, and other lands, all illuminated by over 7,500 meticulously hand-carved real and artificial pumpkins. But the magic doesn't end there; at The Village, where fall food, fire dancing, and games set the mood for an unforgettable night. Prices vary depending on if it's a weeknight or a weekend. Tickets must be purchased online. You can also choose your time. Pumpkin Nights run from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. through Friday, Oct. 31, 2025. Parking is $10.00. Cash or card is accepted. For their team to safely park all guests on busy evenings, parking lines may last up to 30 minutes. Please plan accordingly.

Shows at Arlington Music Hall

The Arlington Music Hall has shows you can enjoy starting 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25, it’s An Evening with Pam Tillis, and then it’s 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, it’s The Wailers 2025 Tour - Arlington Music Hall.

The Smurf Experience

This 13,000-square-foot, fully immersive attraction will transport families into the heart of Smurf Village. The experience will be held at the Arlington Museum of Art. The 75-minute experience will feature nine mission-based zones filled with interactive scavenger hunts, obstacle courses, virtual reality adventures, meet-and-greets with beloved Smurf characters and more. It's hands-on, high-energy and full of Smurftastic fun for kids and parents alike. The Smurf Experience is not to be missed and is only in Texas until the end of the Summer. Little Explorers – Downtown Library

Stop by The Children’s Play Room at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library on 10 a.m. Fridays for a morning of play-based learning.  This come-and-go program will vary week-to-week as librarians explore art, math, science, engineering, and fine motor skills. Join the Arlington Public Library for a playfully discover the world around us! Designed for ages 1-4. Family Storytime – Southeast Branch Library

Join the Arlington Public Library’s fabulous library staff to sing, read and wiggle during storytime at the Southeast Branch Library 10:30 a.m. Fridays. This storytime is geared for ages 2-5. They will read books, sing songs, and have an activity after the program each week. Cruisin' Into Fall (50+ yrs)

Those 50 and older can join for a crisp, colorful afternoon filled with classic cars, live entertainment and good vibes on the patio at the ACTIV from 2-4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, 2025. Be sure to register for this event.

CS4Kids

CS stands for Computer Science!  This is hands- introduction to computer science is for kids ages 9-12. Come join friends from Frontier STEM Academy as they teach an eight-week course with hands-on sessions where students are able to get inside the desktop and learn components like CPU, GPU, and RAM.  Work with your classmates to build a computer at the end of the course. It takes place 4:30-5:30 p.m. every Friday through Friday, Oct. 24, 2025. This eight-week course is cumulative so please try to attend each class. K-Pop Party

Join the library for a K-Pop Party 6-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, 2025, at the Southwest Branch Library. Music, dance-offs, fun activities, and more in this after-hours program just for teens. Vibe with other fans and chat about your biases! This program is designed for teens ages 13-17 and is free and open to the public, no registration required. Diana Rojas: Live at the UTA Planetarium

The UTA Planetarium’s 2025 Concert Series continues 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, 2025, with an evening of food, drinks, and live music featuring local artist Diana Rojas. Student admission will be $25. General admission will be $35. Faculty and staff admission will be $30. Appetizers are included with the price of admission. There will also be a cash bar available. Reception with food and drinks start at 6 p.m. in the planetarium atrium and the concert starts at 7 p.m. Learn about ticket information.

Levitt Pavilion Summer Concert Series

Levitt Pavilion Arlington’s Summer Concert Series continues 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26, 2025, as Jake Bush featuring Jade Marie Patek takes the stage, then 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, it’s The Inspiration Band featuring The Elements – A Hip Hop Story, and rounding out the weekend 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 28, it’s UTA Jazz Night. These concerts are free. Open seating is available on the lawn. Please bring blankets and lawn chairs. Fall Storytime in the Garden

Come celebrate upcoming fall with a special family event 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025, at the Lake Arlington Native Plant and Pollinator Garden! Join Ms. Dawn for a 30-minute garden theme storytime. Afterwards, walk around the garden beds and learn more about the drought resistant Texas native plants from Ms. Peterson and receive a plant to take home.  Families are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket, packed a lunch, and enjoy a fun morning in the garden! Silent Book Club

The book club with no assigned reading and no pressure! They meet once a month at local spots around Arlington & Grand Prairie to read, drink, and be in community with other bookworms. Bring any book you choose, enjoy some refreshments, and stay for optional socializing just before and after the reading time. At this special two-year anniversary book club meeting, enjoy bookish activities before and after our reading hour! Meetup location is George W. Creature Feature: Box Turtles

4th Annual Salsa Competition

On Tap's 4th annual Salsa Competition happens 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025. Bring the heat with your best salsa or come out for a great time!
