Here are a few ways you can enjoy your weekend in The American Dream City.

The World of Pumpkin Nights

Started in the patch, and now we're here. Born from a passion for local artistry and the ethereal magic of the season, Howell Family Farms mission sidestepped the usual gore and scares of Halloween, choosing instead to embrace the warmth and wonder of fall. At Pumpkin Nights, you'll journey through a half-mile trail dotted with the Forbidden City, a Pirate’s Cove, and other lands, all illuminated by over 7,500 meticulously hand-carved real and artificial pumpkins. But the magic doesn't end there; at The Village, where fall food, fire dancing, and games set the mood for an unforgettable night. Prices vary depending on if it's a weeknight or a weekend. Tickets must be purchased online. You can also choose your time. Pumpkin Nights run from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18 through Friday, Oct. 31, 2025. Parking is $10.00. Cash or card is accepted. For their team to safely park all guests on busy evenings, parking lines may last up to 30 minutes. Please plan accordingly.

I’m Proud of You

You Can’t Take It With You continues at Theatre Arlington. This Pulitzer Prize winning comedy is one of the most popular and successful plays of all time. The beloved story of the wacky Sycamores and the straightlaced Kirbys, two families – so unlike in manner, politics and finances trying to set aside their differences and find unity. Showtimes are Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Learn more about tickets. It runs until Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025.

Shows at Arlington Music Hall

The Arlington Music Hall has a show you can enjoy starting 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, it’s Terri Clark, 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, and then it’s 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, “1964,” The Tribute.

The Smurf Experience

This 13,000-square-foot, fully immersive attraction will transport families into the heart of Smurf Village. The experience will be held at the Arlington Museum of Art. The 75-minute experience will feature nine mission-based zones filled with interactive scavenger hunts, obstacle courses, virtual reality adventures, meet-and-greets with beloved Smurf characters and more. It's hands-on, high-energy and full of Smurftastic fun for kids and parents alike. The Smurf Experience is not to be missed and is only in Texas until the end of the Summer. Tottie Lynn Story Times

Storytime is a thoughtful and fun way to encourage children's love of books. It will also set them into motion as future budding readers! Join the fabulous Library staff as you explore stories, rhymes, songs and more at the Dottie Lynn Recreation Center 9:30-10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 19, 2025. This program is developmentally appropriate for ages 2-4, but all ages are welcome. To help all the children get the most out of their experience, you are encouraged to listen, sing, and wiggle along with your little ones. No registration required. Little Explorers – Downtown Library

Stop by The Children’s Play Room at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library on 10 a.m. Fridays for a morning of play-based learning.  This come-and-go program will vary week-to-week as librarians explore art, math, science, engineering, and fine motor skills. Join the Arlington Public Library for a playfully discover the world around us! Designed for ages 1-4. American Red Cross Blood Drive

Help save lives and bring relief to thousands in your community by donating at this blood drive hosted by the American Red Cross 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, 2025, at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library. Donating blood is quick and easy and donors report feeling a sense of great satisfaction after making their blood donation. Schedule a time to give blood and enter the code, “Arlingtonlibrary.”

Family Storytime – Southeast Branch Library

Join the Arlington Public Library’s fabulous library staff to sing, read and wiggle during storytime at the Southeast Branch Library 10:30 a.m. Fridays. This storytime is geared for ages 2-5. They will read books, sing songs, and have an activity after the program each week. Storytime at River Legacy Nature Center

Join for an indoor family story time at the River Legacy Nature Center in partnership with the Arlington Public Library 1:30-2:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, 2025. This program is recommended for ages 3-8. Listen to themed books and learn about squirrels with one of the Naturalists. RSVP is required. Limited space available. Bug spray is recommended prior to arrival if you are going to be outside. It can be sunny and warm so prepare for that too. Participants will receive a registration confirmation prior to the event.

CS4Kids

CS stands for Computer Science!  This is hands- introduction to computer science is for kids ages 9-12. Come join friends from Frontier STEM Academy as they teach an eight-week course with hands-on sessions where students are able to get inside the desktop and learn components like CPU, GPU, and RAM.  Work with your classmates to build a computer at the end of the course. It takes place 4:30-5:30 p.m. every Friday through Friday, Oct. 24, 2025. This eight-week course is cumulative so please try to attend each class. Texas Rangers host the Miami Marlins   

Your hometown Rangers host the Miami Marlins for a three-game weekend set at Globe Life Field. First pitches are scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, 6:05 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, and 1:35 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 21, 2025. View ticket information on the Rangers’ website.

Levitt Pavilion Summer Concert Series

Levitt Pavilion Arlington’s Summer Concert Series continues 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, 2025, as Zach Person feat. GA-20 takes the stage, and then 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, it’s Stefani Montiel feat. Los Músicos. These concerts are free. Open seating is available on the lawn. Please bring blankets and lawn chairs. You also can bring your own food and coolers with beverages, including alcohol, but no glass containers, please. Parking is free. Sanford Spotlight Live Music

Join the Sanford House 8-10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19, 2025, in the restaurant and bar beforehand for dinner or enjoy our bar menu available during the show! Lake Arlington Garden Activity Day

Arlington Water Utilities and Tarrant Regional Water District are working with local conservation stakeholders and community groups to restore native prairie and wildflowers to 2.75 acres of land adjacent to the Lake Arlington Dam 8-10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025. This gated area at 5500 Lake Arlington Drive also features demonstration garden beds with native plants.

Canines & Coffee

Get ready to kickstart your Saturday morning with the ultimate combination of coffee, community, and canine fun! Downtown Arlington invites you and your furry best friend to their inaugural Canines & Coffee event 8-10 a.m. Saturday Sept. 20, 2025, at the Downtown Arlington Doggy Depot.  This free event is designed for dog lovers and their pups to socialize and enjoy the fresh air. It will feature pop-up coffee from local favorite, Inclusion Coffee, selling delicious beverages to start your day right.

Downtown Arlington Farmers Market

The Downtown Arlington Farmers Market runs every Saturday through November from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot at the corner of Front and Center Streets. The market will feature fresh, locally-source produce, unique artisan goods and community connection.

Brunch & Yoga at Sanford House

Come enjoy an outdoor practice in the lush and green Grand Courtyard of the Sanford House Inn 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025. You’ll start with an all-levels, outdoor practice followed by delicious brunch noms from Restaurant506. Your ticket includes an hour of yoga, a free mimosa, and 10% off brunch at the Sanford House. All-Levels Yoga Class

This all-levels yoga class is designed to be accessible to individuals with varying degrees of yoga experience, from beginners to advanced 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, at River Legacy Nature Center. Class may take place outside, depending on the weather. Please bring your mat. You must register for this event.

West Main Arts Fest

The heart of Downtown Arlington will transform into a vibrant hub of creativity and culture on Saturday, September 20, 2025, as the West Main Arts Festival returns for its highly anticipated 9th annual celebration of art, music, and community. The free, family-friendly event will run from 12:00 PM to 7:00 p.m. along the historic West Main Street corridor. The West Main Arts Fest brings together 70+ visual artists, 25+ local musicians and performers, food trucks, artisan vendors, and interactive activities in a dynamic street festival atmosphere.

Spice Club

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, for September's Spice Club, you will learn how to make homemade tortillas with special guest from Marquez Bakery. The event takes place 12-1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, at the Southeast Branch Library. You will also learn about different desserts and pastries from Mexico.

Advanced Sewing: Embroidered Messenger Bags

Come step up your sewing game and challenge yourself with a new advance project using two different machines 2-5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library’s Tinker Room. First, you will embroider on fabric with their embroidery machine. Next, you will sew on their own mini messenger bag. This class is appropriate for ages 13+.

Sunday Brunch

Ventana Grille at the Tierra Verde Golf Club clubhouse is now serving brunch from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. each Sunday. Menu items include four savory Eggs Benedict entrées, Shrimp-N-Grits, Ginger Salmon, and their favorite - Napoleon's Last Meal, a buttermilk fried chicken breast over bourbon French toast and served with maple syrup!
