Arlington to Host Program Year 2026 HUD Grant Funding Workshop Oct. 23

The City of Arlington invites local nonprofit organizations, housing developers and service providers to attend the Program Year 2026 Funding Availability Workshop. The workshop is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, 2025, in the Council Chamber at 101 W. Abram St. 

This free informational session is designed for organizations interested in applying for federal funding through the following U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) programs:

  • Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
  • HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME)
  • Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG)  

Participants will receive an overview of available funding, eligibility criteria and application requirements for the Program Year 2026 grant cycle.

Estimated Available Funding for Program Year 2026

CDBG – Public Services: $465,000

  • Estimated Number of Awards: 25
  • Typical Award Range: $10,000–$40,000
  • Note: Public services funding cap does not apply to infrastructure or CBDO awards.

ESG – Shelter & Street Outreach: $169,000

ESG – Rapid Rehousing & Homeless Prevention: $84,000

HOME Investment Partnerships: $1,145,000

  • Includes a $172,000 set-aside for CHDOs (Community Housing Development Organizations)
