Here are a few ways you can enjoy your weekend in The American Dream City.

The Smurf Experience

This 13,000-square-foot, fully immersive attraction will transport families into the heart of Smurf Village. The experience will be held at the Arlington Museum of Art. The 75-minute experience will feature nine mission-based zones filled with interactive scavenger hunts, obstacle courses, virtual reality adventures, meet-and-greets with beloved Smurf characters and more. It's hands-on, high-energy and full of Smurftastic fun for kids and parents alike. The Smurf Experience is not to be missed and is only in Texas until Oct. 5, 2025. Tricks and Treats

Experience thrills for the whole family during our daytime, family-friendly event with activities and shows that will have you laughing, cheering, and creating unforgettable memories together at Six Flags Over Texas for Tricks and Treats starting select days Saturday, Sept. 13 until Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025. This is an all-new fall festival with family-friendly activities, Trick-or-Treat Trail, and world-class family rides. The World of Pumpkin Nights

Started in the patch, and now we're here. Born from a passion for local artistry and the ethereal magic of the season, Howell Family Farms mission sidestepped the usual gore and scares of Halloween, choosing instead to embrace the warmth and wonder of fall. At Pumpkin Nights, you'll journey through a half-mile trail dotted with the Forbidden City, a Pirate’s Cove, and other lands, all illuminated by over 7,500 meticulously hand-carved real and artificial pumpkins. But the magic doesn't end there; at The Village, where fall food, fire dancing, and games set the mood for an unforgettable night. Prices vary depending on if it's a weeknight or a weekend. Tickets must be purchased online. You can also choose your time. Pumpkin Nights run from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. through Friday, Oct. 31, 2025. Parking is $10.00. Cash or card is accepted. For their team to safely park all guests on busy evenings, parking lines may last up to 30 minutes. Please plan accordingly.

Little Explorers – Downtown Library

Stop by The Children’s Play Room at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library on 10 a.m. Fridays for a morning of play-based learning.  This come-and-go program will vary week-to-week as librarians explore art, math, science, engineering, and fine motor skills. Join the Arlington Public Library for a playfully discover the world around us! Designed for ages 1-4. Shows at Arlington Music Hall

The Arlington Music Hall has shows you can enjoy starting 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, it’s Ronstadt Revue featuring Gesenia: The Ultimate Celebration of Linda Ronstadt, 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, it’s Don McLean and then it’s 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, it’s Worship Through It Tour: Tasha Layton.

Family Storytime – Southeast Branch Library

Join the Arlington Public Library’s fabulous library staff to sing, read and wiggle during storytime at the Southeast Branch Library 10:30 a.m. Fridays. This storytime is geared for ages 2-5. They will read books, sing songs, and have an activity after the program each week. CS4Kids

CS stands for Computer Science!  This is hands- introduction to computer science is for kids ages 9-12. Come join friends from Frontier STEM Academy as they teach an eight-week course with hands-on sessions where students are able to get inside the desktop and learn components like CPU, GPU, and RAM.  Work with your classmates to build a computer at the end of the course. It takes place 4:30-5:30 p.m. every Friday through Friday, Oct. 24, 2025. This eight-week course is cumulative so please try to attend each class. Live! Release Party: Album Celebration

Calling All Showgirls! — All eras, all ages! Get dressed to impress as we celebrate the ultimate album release dance party at Texas Live! 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 2025. Enjoy whimsical cotton candy, themed cocktails and mocktails, games, prizes, and a photo booth while our DJ drops the brand-new album and our VJ spins iconic hits from every era. Bring your squad, sing your heart out, and dance the night away! No cover charge — tables can be reserved in advance.

Levitt Pavilion Summer Concert Series

Levitt Pavilion Arlington’s Summer Concert Series continues 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 2025, as Hard Nights Day feat. Paul Renna takes the stage, and then 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, it’s Hispanic Heritage Celebration with Little Joe y La Familia feat. Latin Express. These concerts are free. Open seating is available on the lawn. Please bring blankets and lawn chairs. You also can bring your own food and coolers with beverages, including alcohol, but no glass containers, please. Arlington Garden Club’s Plant Sale

The Arlington Garden Club's next plant sale of native and adapted perennial plants and houseplants is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025, at Fielder Museum.

Downtown Arlington Farmers Market

The Downtown Arlington Farmers Market runs every Saturday through November from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the parking lot at the corner of Front and Center Streets. The market will feature fresh, locally-source produce, unique artisan goods and community connection.

Game of Thrones: The Exhibition

Fans of HBO’s epic fantasy series Game of Thrones are invited to journey into the world of Westeros like never before. Game of Thrones™: The Exhibition, will open on Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025, until Sunday, April 5, 2026, showcasing an immersive collection of original costumes worn by the iconic characters, props from the show, and a behind-the-scenes look at the development of the groundbreaking series.

KUTUB: Arabic Book Club

The Arabic Book Club “Kutub” meets on the first Saturday of the month from 1-3 p.m., at the at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library’s Resilience Room. Members will discuss novels, short stories, poetry, non-fiction, music, feature films or documentaries that explore Arabic culture. Read and discuss what you’ve read. Exploring new cultures, values, and practices is what makes us better human beings as any culture has things to teach us, regardless of differences. Open for adults and seniors. No registration required.

Paint with Me

Create a work of art by learning and using different types of paint media 2-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025, at the George W. Hawkes Downtown Library’s Tinker Room. Class is limited to the first 12 in attendance for ages 9+. Materials will be provided.

Elmo & Friends Say Hello

Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Cookie Monster, and their friends from Sesame Street are coming to your neighborhood to say hello 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, at Texas Hall. At Elmo and Friends Say Hello, sing, dance, and play alongside your favorite furry friends, all while you follow Elmo’s puppy, Tango, in a fun game of hide & seek. So put on your dancing shoes and make your way to where the air is sweet for this all-new celebration on Sesame Street! Learn more about tickets. Monster Jam

Experience Monster Jam live and become a fan for life with an ultimate day of family fun at AT&T Stadium starting 2:30 p.m. Saturday, October 4, 2025. Checkmate: USA vs. India

On Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025 at 6 p.m., Esports Stadium Arlington will host Checkmate: USA vs. India, a first-of-its-kind chess event boasting world-class talent and star power, including the two top players from each country and four of the top five players in the world. APL Game Night: Blood on the Clocktower

Join the Arlington Public Library 6-9:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025, at the Woodland West Branch Library Community Room for an immersive social deduction experience with Blood & Clocktower! Perfect for fans of strategy and bluffing, this game supports up to 17 players. Registration is required to secure your spot. Come test your wits, uncover secrets, and enjoy a night of thrilling gameplay! Blood & Clocktower is a collaborative yet deceptive game where players take on secret roles in a mysterious village. Some players are working together to solve the mystery, while others have hidden agendas trying to sow chaos. Observe the Moon Night

The College of Science and UTA Planetarium are hosting a free observing party to celebrate International Observe the Moon Nights 8:30-10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, 2025. The moon will be near its first quarter, a great phase for evening observing. Come by for a great view with the Observatory's 16" Meade LX200 Astronomical telescope. You can also bring your own telescope, camera, or binoculars.

Fight Night Live!

Sunday Brunch

Ventana Grille at the Tierra Verde Golf Club clubhouse is now serving brunch from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. each Sunday.
