Lincoln Square to Become Walkable Community Gathering Place
Published on October 23, 2025
Lincoln Square, a 45-acre shopping center in North Arlington, is slated to be transformed into a retail and community gathering place called Anthem. Residents could see construction activity as soon as mid-2026 and new businesses opening by early 2027, with most businesses open by early 2028.
Terry Montesi, CEO of Trademark Property Company, recently spoke with MyArlingtonTV about how the redevelopment will create extra parking, better north-south traffic flow, walkability, upgraded facades and add public gathering spaces with artwork.
"It'll feel much more like an organic village that's walkable and interesting with outdoor seating, public spaces, intentional landscaped areas, new public art, a new beautiful entry and freeway signage. It'll look like a modern retail village,” said Montesi.
Located on the southwest corner of Collins Street and Interstate 30 near the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys stadiums, Anthem will serve as a gateway to Arlington’s Entertainment District for both residents and its 15 million-plus visitors.
The reimagined shopping center will function as a convenient meetup spot between Dallas and Fort Worth, a pre-and-post event destination in the Entertainment District and a prime addition to retail and restaurant options in the north Arlington area, explained Montesi.
The project is slated to retain some of the elements that residents have grown to love about Lincoln Square, like the public art, while adding new public art and other features that will help the area transform and evolve.
“We want the place to have a destination-worthiness about it,” he said.
A video interview with Montesi about the upcoming Lincoln Square/Anthem redevelopment project was presented at the 2025 State of the City Address on Oct. 16.
