Congratulations to Arlington Baptist University and the Arlington Sports Commission on their successful bid to host the National Christian College Athletic Association's NCCAA Division II Women's Volleyball National Championships from 2026 to 2028.

Arlington Baptist is no stranger to hosting NCCAA events but will host Division II Women's Volleyball for the first time in the school's history.

"The NCCAA is excited to continue to develop our deep relationship with Arlington Baptist University by awarding the hosting of the 2026, 2027, and 2028 Division II Women's Volleyball National Championships," said NCCAA Executive Director Dan Wood. "We are grateful for President Dr. Clifton McDaniel and Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics Dr. Greg Feris for their willingness to host and we know they will present an excellent venue for our student-athletes, coaches, and fans.

Arlington Baptist is partnering with the Arlington Sports Commission to host the championship inside the J. Frank Norris Auditorium. The historic facility on the Patriots' campus was built in 1974 and can hold approximately 1,200 fans. Serving as the home for Arlington Baptist home basketball and volleyball games, the facility features stadium seating along with a theatre stage surrounding the main gym floor.

"It is a tremendous honor to host the NCCAA Division II Women's Volleyball National Championship at Arlington Baptist University," stated Arlington Baptist President Dr. Clifton McDaniel. "The event will showcase our student-athletes and show our commitment to Christ with excellence, sportsmanship, and community engagement. We are excited to welcome athletes, families, and fans from across the nation to Arlington, Texas, and to show the spirit of ABU - preparing world changers both on and off the court."

Vice President of Intercollegiate Athletics Dr. Greg Feris added, "We are delighted to have been chosen and look forward to bringing a first-class event to ABU and Arlington, Texas. Working closely with members of the community and the Arlington Sports Commission, the event promises to be something very special for student-athletes and their fans."

Over the last few decades, the Arlington area has served as one of the athletic capitals of the world with many of the biggest sporting events coming to the area. The Arlington Sports Commission, who are serving as a crucial partner in this event, have hosted the Super Bowl, NCAA Men's Final Four's, an NBA All-Star Game, and the College Football Playoff National Championship. In addition to their support of the NCCAA Division II Women's Volleyball National Championship, the Arlington Sports Commission is preparing to host nine World Cup games in the Summer of 2026.
