The annual Point in Time Count is a nationwide event held in January to provide a snapshot of what homelessness looks like in one night for every community in the country. This year’s count will take place on Jan. 22, 2026.

Partnership Home needs around 500 volunteers to count and survey people living in unsheltered settings throughout Parker and Tarrant counties, including Arlington. Volunteer efforts will help the nonprofit to understand what resources communities may need and identify community-wide strategies to end homelessness.

Volunteers can sign up online. If you do not have a team, you will be matched with other individual volunteers. Volunteers are assigned a route to canvass, identify, and interview people staying outside. Mandatory training will be provided to all volunteers via the web and on the night of the count.
