November 2025 Student-Athlete of the Month: Desirae Lawson

Desirae Lawson, a senior on Arlington High School’s cheer team, has been selected as the City of Arlington’s Student-Athlete of the Month for November 2025.

Lawson, a captain for Arlington Cheer, has spent four years on the squad and served on student council since fifth grade.

“Desirae embodies exactly what I would want a Colt Cheerleader to embody,” said Olivia Miller, Arlington High School Head Cheerleading Coach. “She is not only a great cheerleader and a great leader on our team, but she’s also great in the classroom.”

After she graduates, Jayden plans on attending the University of Texas and major in Pre-Physical Therapy.
