The Arlington Police Department is investigating a fatality crash that resulted in the death of an adult male.
On Sunday, November 16, 2025, at approximately 3:36 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of Pioneer Parkway & S. Cooper Street for a collision involving a 2008 Honda Civic and a 2012 Ford Explorer.
Investigators determined the Explorer was traveling northbound along Cooper Street, had a green light, and entered the intersection when the Civic, which was traveling westbound along Pioneer Parkway, ran a red light and struck the Explorer.
The driver of the Civic, an adult male who did not have identification on him, was transported to the hospital where he was later pronounced deceased from his injuries. The driver of the Explorer and two passengers were also transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators have not ruled out speed as a factor in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the name of the deceased once he is positively identified and next of kin have been notified.
