Arlington Public Library Locations Hosting Food Drive Through Dec. 31

The Arlington Public Library is hosting a food drive throughout the holiday season to support our neighbors in need. Starting now through Dec. 31, 2025, the community is encouraged to donate shelf stable food items to any Arlington Public Library location across the city. 

Items needed include:

• canned fruits and vegetables
• canned meats
• canned soups
• peanut butter or other nut butters
• macaroni and cheese
• rice
• beans/lentils
• powdered milk
• shelf stable milks or juices
• Thanksgiving items, such as canned fruits and vegetables, pie mix and pre-baked pie crusts and stuffing

Items not accepted 

• perishable food that need refrigeration
• dairy items
• opened items or expired items
• All collected items will be donated to Mission Arlington just in time for the holidays!
