Arlington Care and Share Fund Donations Helped 695 Residents in 2025

The Arlington Water Utilities' Care and Share Fund is designed to help Arlington families facing financial challenges pay bills for water, sewer and trash services, as well as stormwater fees. With the holidays right around the corner, now is a great time to contribute to the fund and help your neighbors by adding a donation to your monthly Arlington Water Utilities payment online at ArlingtonTX.gov/KnowYourH2O or in person.
One hundred percent of donations received for the Care and Share Fund will be applied directly to the accounts of residents in need. Three nonprofits pre-qualify residents for help based on income guidelines. Those are Mission Arlington, Arlington Urban Ministries and Catholic Charities of Fort Worth.
In 2024, the water department distributed $59,669.00 from the fund, helping 473 households. A total of $79,267.68 has been distributed from the Care and Share fund since Jan. 1, 2025, helping 695 households. Applications for assistance continue to come in throughout November and December.
Arlington Water Utilities customers donated $9,884.04 to the Care and Share Fund in Fiscal Year 2025. In addition to donations from residents, the Care and Share Fund also receives a yearly donation of $60,000 from the Service Line Warranties of America.
Arlington Water Utilities can also donate to several other causes on their water bills through the Partnerships for Arlington program. A total of 21,788 Water Utilities customers made donations to the Partnerships for Arlington charities in Fiscal Year 2025, creating a total of $55,345.45 in contributions. Other donations were:
- $39,233.27 to Arlington Animal Services
- $3,597.60 to the Arlington Public Library
- $1,353.56 to Urban Forest (Arlington Parks and Recreation Department)
- $751.43 to the Build-a-Dream Scholarship (Arlington Parks and Recreation Department)
- $526.55 to the Arlington Public Art Program
In addition to adding a donation to their online bill payment, Arlington Water Utilities customers can also donate by downloading a form at ArlingtonTX.gov/CareandShare or donating in person at an Arlington Water Utilities Customer Care location.
